Three-Body Universe

The Three-Body Universe is the pioneer of China's science fiction industry, holding exclusive global rights for developing and commercializing the "Three-Body" trilogy. Three-Body Universe aims to make science fiction widely accessible by offering a full range of content products and consumer goods based on the Three-Body IP. Recognized as China's most internationally influential sci-fi IP, the Three-Body series explores global perspectives, propels Chinese viewpoints into the future, and pioneers discussions on humanity's relationship with the universe. Authored by Liu Cixin, one of China's leading science fiction writers, the trilogy comprises "The Three-Body Problem," "The Dark Forest," and "Death's End." It won the 73rd Hugo Award for Best Novel in 2015. It was the only sci-fi work in a collection of 70 novels celebrating 70 years of modern China in 2019.

Additionally, in 2022, it received the prestigious China Copyright Gold Award. Since its first publication in 2008, the trilogy has been translated into 35 languages. The trilogy has sold nearly 30 million copies worldwide, dominating China's fiction sales charts in 2021.

The Three-Body Universe's operations encompass IP content development, production, and commercialization, with an impressive array of content spanning films, TV, and interactive entertainment. Annually, it aims to release 1-2 flagship projects. Highlights include co-producing the inaugural live-action "Three-Body Problem" TV series animation,  "My Three-Body: The Legend of Zhang Beihai" animation, and "The Three-Body" radio drama and international series adaptations. 

Furthermore, it has published "The Worldview of The Three-Body," "The Three-Body Dimensional Book: Red Coast Base," and "The Three-Body Art Illustration Collection," and has ventured into co-producing the first sci-fi talk show "Do Not Answer," developing a "Three-Body" VR narrative experience, and a series of "Three-Body" games. It also licenses immersive sci-fi experiences like "Three-Body: Beyond Gravity," augmented reality stations, and immersive art exhibitions themed around the Three-Body Universe.

On the commercial front, Three-Body has forged partnerships with leading Chinese and international brands across various sectors—digital, automotive, fashion, home living, fast-moving consumer goods, health, and cultural creative products—to launch premium Three-Body-themed consumer products. These collaborations include China Post, Bank of China, Huawei, Xiaomi, JD.com, Yili, Extreme, Pizza Hut, Oreo, Kiehl's, Tomson Biotech, 361°, Fiyta, and Xiling Seal Engraver's Society. Three Body Universe earned the New IP Award at the China Licensing Industry Awards 2020. As of the end of 2022, the collaborative Three-Body IP products have amassed a market value of over 2 billion yuan, highlighting its significant impact and value in the market.
